Keep Carbondale Beautiful initiates, plans, and directs cooperative efforts in litter control, recycling, community beautification, and environmental education.
On the beautification side, KCB sells native trees and shrubs each spring and fall; maintains a garden on Grand Avenue to reduce litter, promote native plants, and educates the public.; and hosts a garden tour in June (first Sunday). We visits classrooms to "Read for the Environment."
Keep Carbondale Beautiful maintains the Adopt-A-Spot program for litter control in Carbondale. Contact them if you'd like to sign up.
